After a wonderful time in large group and small group, we were ready to take on the tasks of the day. Today was our last, but most difficult workday.  We worked with wood some, but we also had to prepare the foundation for 2 new houses.  This requires digging deep holes for the corner and center post and filling them with concrete.

We also had to dig trenches around the edges of one of the houses, place the stones on the ground, which serves as the perimeter blocks. We mixed a lot of concrete by hand. Then we poured parts of the slab. But we were able to work side by side with our Nica friends. They taught us so much.   Even with the language barrier, we laughed often.

After lunch, we had VBS.  Kids came from everywhere when they turned up the music. They were excited to do crafts and learn about Noah.  They were especially loud and wound up today. So many smiles.
